J-son - I have been suggesting that people who get these coins, get them graded by PCGS instead of NGC.......NGC is putting out 14 times more MS70's than PCGS - and they have already misgraded some coins - one we've talked about here, a 1986 Gold eagle as a First Strike (they were in such a hurry they didn't even notice what they were doing.)

Their hurry - apparently - was to get coins graded PDQ for Shop At Home - and its hurt their reputation.........both APMEX and eBay are getting double (or close) for the same coin graded by PCGS rather than NGC.

I have always considered both these services close - tho PCGS a hair better - but now people are turning from NGC in droves - sales of the MS70 coins on eBay (just one example of a market) are very slow - the PCGS coins are just seen as being more reliably graded!

MS70s by PCGS have sold for over $3000 on eBay.
NGCs are struggling to break even.

I've noticed what you are talking about. PCGC 70's get a way higher price than NGC 70's. At the coin show I was at this weekend, I saw a lot of NGC 70 Buffalo's. No PCGS ones in sight.

Personally, I prefer the PCGS case to the NGC case also.

i got 5 graded by ngc since when i signed up they were giving 5 free grades so i sent them in.
i didnt know how to sent to pcgs....do you have to go through a dealer?
